The traditional vocational English teaching mode has many drawbacks, which is not conducive
to the achievement of teaching objectives. Taking the blended English teaching in higher
vocational colleges as a research point, guided by the constructivism and self-paced learning
theory, and exemplified by higher vocational English SPOC course, it integrates classroom
face-to-face English teaching, and online and offline classroom self-paced learning, designs
and implements a blended higher vocational English teaching mode of “3 +1 +N”based on SPOC,
which aims at solving bottleneck problems in traditional English teaching and provides
reference for reforming teaching mode of higher vocational English.
