The integrated development of cities inside Wuhan City Circle has promoted the development of
regional tourism and increased the demand for Tourism English talents. Presently the
cultivation of Tourism English talents mismatches the development of tourism in the local
area. There is still a certain gap between the number and quality of talents cultivation and
the requirements of employers, which shows prominent contradiction between talents’ supply
and demand. Guided by the theory of humanism and regional equilibrium development, through
literature and policy research, questionnaire survey, and on-site interviews, it predicts the
future development trend of tourism in Wuhan city circle and the issue of cultivation of
Tourism English talents, and proposes to strengthen talents’ cultivation from the aspects of
construction of textbooks, adjustment of the percentage between theory and practice, practice
of communication ability, enrichment of teachers’ team, and perfection of talents cultivation
system.
