Tracking graduates occupational life to understand current occupational status of graduates
is a routine work of a college’s employment department. It plays an important role in
examining the quality of education and teaching, promoting educational and teaching reform,
and further improving the quality of talent fostering. This study, carried out in 2018, is
based on a random sample survey of 712 graduates of 2012 in a local university, as a result
of which 661 effective samples were obtained. It analyzes and studies their job satisfaction,
employment stability and professional competitiveness etc., in order to understand the
graduates’ career life after six years of their graduation, and propose countermeasures and
suggestions on related issues.
