Military theory course is regarded as an indispensable approach to strengthening college
students’ patriotic education and improving their comprehensive quality. In reality, it is
common and prominent that colleges, especially higher vocational ones, are not well-placed,
absent, and misplaced in teaching military theory course, which results in difficulty in
realizing course functions and its expected effects. For the outstanding problems in current
military theory teaching, it is necessary to pay special attention by both the whole society
and colleges, to comprehensive examination of the systemic viewpoint, and comprehensively
improve and systematically solve the problems from ideological understanding, teachers’ team
construction, teaching mode and student evaluation, etc., to cultivate a large number of
talents with strong professional ability and comprehensive quality for national defense as
well as economic and social construction and development.
