高职学生的英语学习初期, 在隐喻认识能力及推理能力等方面普遍存在一些问题, 很大程度上阻碍了其阅读水平的发展。从分析高职学生隐喻能力的现状入手, 开展实证性研究, 证明了高职学生隐喻能力与阅读水平具有一定的相关性, 将隐喻能力的培养贯彻到高职院校的英语教学, 有望提高二语习得者的阅读理解能力。

In the preliminary stage of English learning, it is common that higher vocational students have some problems in metacognitive competence, reasoning ability, etc., which, to a great extent, hinders the development of their reading proficiency. Starting from an analysis of the status quo of higher vocational students’ metaphoric competence, an empirical study is applied, and it is proved that higher vocational students’ metaphoric competence is correlated with their reading proficiency. The cultivation of metaphoric competence is implemented in the process of English teaching in higher vocational colleges, which is expected to improve learners’ reading comprehension proficiency of second language acquisition.
